Lake Garda, more precisely Pozzolengo, in an area where all the benefits of this vast basin of water are felt. Morainic lands formed long ago during epochs under glaciation that left a rich, fertile and mineral soil that bestows a distinctive identity on grapes and then wines with complex aromas.
The mild climate plays a decisive role, constantly refreshed by pleasant seasonal winds, which caress the rows of vines and drives away humidity.
The production of the zone is mainly devoted to a white grape with extraordinary characteristics, the Trebbiano di Lugana, known as Turbiana. Vinified in purity, it is able to express itself with versatility, both in the classic white wine and sparkling versions.
Three generations of dedication to viticulture in order to produce wines of great quality that are loved by all.
The Lugana DOC method begins solely with Trebbiano di Lugana grapes and the harvest is carried out only by hand, in the period between 15 September and 10 October. The pressing follows, done gently to whole grapes within inertised presses. Fermentation takes between 15 and 20 days in steel tanks where the temperature and the progress of the fermentation are controlled. Then the wine is kept on the fine lees for at least 4 months. And finally, in order to obtain the right complexity and the right degree of maturation, the wine is not placed on the market before February.
The Lugana Riserva, like the Lugana DOC, is obtained from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes from one of the older vineyards. The pressing follows, done gently to whole grapes within inertised presses. Fermentation takes between 15 and 20 days in steel tanks where the temperature and the progress of the fermentation are controlled. The characteristic that makes the Lugana Riserva different from the Lugana DOC is that the wine is kept on the fine lees for at least 12 months and remains at least 6 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.

Lugana is the wine that launched Colli Vaibò’s production and remains the most representative, produced and marketed.
At the organoleptic level, Lugana presents a floral bouquet to the nose with marked hints of citrus fruits. In the mouth, it is the freshness, savouriness and acidity that stand out, which make it a lively wine with a substantial structure.
Lugana can accompany white meats, freshwater fish and crustaceans and soft cheeses.
The Lugana Riserva is the second Lugana wine produced at Colli Vaibò. It differs from the Lugana DOC due to the refinement, which lasts a year in tanks and six months in the bottle.
As regards the organoleptic aspect, the Lugana Riserva brings delicate notes to the nose that recall the aroma of ripe fruit, saffron and honey. On the palate, it is a soft wine that present tertiary aromas acquired during the refinement.
It goes well with elaborate first courses, with fish, both grilled and steamed, with matured cheeses and white meats.
Lugana Riserva also improves during the ageing and is an important wine for its structure, elegance and complexity.
